Application guide

Temperature Mapping for Cold Rooms and Storage Areas

Define the study and evidence you need before choosing a data logger. This page helps scope measurement equipment for cold rooms, refrigerators, freezers and dry stores without treating mapping, routine monitoring and calibration as the same service.

Scope note: ManaEsse supplies measurement equipment and can prepare an equipment quotation. This page does not claim accredited calibration, validation or temperature-mapping service delivery.

Three related jobs with different outputs

01

Temperature mapping

A planned study records temperatures at multiple positions to understand temperature distribution within a three-dimensional space. The protocol, placement, duration and acceptance criteria must be defined for the actual site.

02

Routine monitoring

Ongoing devices track storage conditions after the facility is in use. Alarm, review, download and retention requirements should come from the site procedure, not from a generic product label.

03

Calibration evidence

If the study requires calibrated loggers or certificates, state the required points, range, traceability and validity in the request. The certificate scope must match the intended use.

Information to define before selecting loggers

Use the approved protocol or quality procedure as the controlling document. The list below is an intake checklist, not a substitute for that protocol.

  • Space or equipment type, dimensions and layout
  • Intended temperature range and acceptance criteria
  • Empty, loaded, seasonal or other required study conditions
  • Recording interval, study duration and required number of positions
  • Sensor format, memory, battery and environmental protection needs
  • Calibration certificate, software, export and report requirements
