- Removes needle hubs by sliding them along the smooth groove and pulling (for slip-on needles); a special mesh slot removes No. 27 screw-type needles by inserting the needle into the bottom of the mesh slot, pressing down and unscrewing counter-clockwise (5 x 13 in. size only)
