List each pipette by its volume range and whether it is single-channel or an 8- or 12-channel model. Say which tips you will use; accuracy specifications are stated with the manufacturer's own tips, and a quotation should name the tip type so the two are bought to match.

State the tube or plate formats you spin, the maximum speed or relative centrifugal force your protocol needs, and whether refrigeration is required. The rotor is chosen for the tube format and is often a separate line on the quotation.

Tubes, tips and plates come in purity grades for general, PCR and cell-culture work. Name the grade your method requires and how many you use a month, so pack sizes and delivery cadence fit the bench.
Some universal tips fit, but the pipette's stated accuracy and precision are measured with the manufacturer's own tips, and fit varies by tip. State the tips you intend to use in the request so the quotation matches pipette and tip, or confirms the pair you already run.
Not always. The rotor is chosen for the tube or plate format, so quotations list it as its own line when you state the formats you spin. Name every format you use and the quotation includes the rotor and adapters that cover them.
