Buyer notes

Decide on internal or external calibration before you compare balances

ManaEsse X, an e-GP registered supplier, sells genuine Sartorius balances in Thailand, each priced by quotation: Entris analytical and precision models in several capacities, with internal or external calibration, plus sample-preparation, filtration and water-system items. Calibration type, readability and capacity settle the model; the bench and the certificates settle the rest of the quotation.

Buyer notes

What to settle before comparing models

01

Internal or external calibration

Entris models come in pairs: the same readability and capacity with an internal adjustment weight (the model number carries an i, such as 224i-1S) or with external calibration using your own weights (224-1S). Internal adjustment suits benches where temperature drifts and adjustment must be routine; external suits budgets and quality systems that already keep reference weights.

02

Readability, capacity and the bench

State the smallest difference you must read and the heaviest load with its container. An analytical balance at 0.1 mg needs a stable table, a draft shield and a place away from airflow; say what the bench offers so accessories are quoted where needed.

03

Certificates and traceability

Say whether you need a manufacturer certificate or a calibration certificate to a named standard with the balance, and whether reference weights should be added to the request. Both change the lines on the quotation.

Include this in the quote request

  • Readability and capacity, and whether internal or external calibration is required
  • Where the balance will stand: table, airflow and temperature conditions
  • Reference weights or a draft shield, if you do not already have them
  • Certificates required, and to which standard
  • Delivery province, the date you need it by, and your organisation or reference number

Frequently asked questions about Sartorius products

What is the difference between Entris 224-1S and 224i-1S?

Both are analytical balances reading 0.1 mg to 220 g. The 224i-1S adjusts itself with an internal weight; the 224-1S is adjusted externally with a reference weight you supply. The i-model costs more and removes a routine task; the external model suits a laboratory that already keeps traceable weights.

How should an analytical balance be placed?

On a stable, level table away from doors, vents and direct sun, at a steady temperature, with the draft shield closed while reading. Vibration and airflow show up as drifting last digits, so the bench is part of the specification.

Which Entris models are in the catalogue?

Analytical: 224-1S and 224i-1S, 0.1 mg × 220 g. Precision at 1 mg: 323, 423 and 623 (320 to 620 g). At 10 mg: 822, 2202, 3202 and 6202 (820 to 6200 g). At 100 mg: 2201 and 5201 (2200 and 5200 g). An i in the model number, as in 2202i-1S, means internal calibration; not every model is listed in both versions.
