Centrifuges

Laboratory centrifuges from DLAB — low-speed, high-speed, micro and refrigerated models (DM0506, D2012, D1012UA, D1524R) for clinical, research and industrial sample separation. Request a free quotation from ManaEsse X.

Centrifuge selection guide

Match the method, rotor and tube before comparing maximum speed

A useful centrifuge quotation starts with the required separation and sample format. RCF, rotor compatibility, tube size, batch capacity and temperature control are more actionable than a model name alone.

Centrifuge selection guide

What determines the right centrifuge

01

Method and required RCF

Provide the method’s required relative centrifugal force and run conditions when available. RPM and RCF are not interchangeable without the rotor radius.

02

Tube and rotor

State tube volume, dimensions, material and quantity per run. The exact tube, adapter and rotor combination must be confirmed in the manufacturer documentation.

03

Capacity and workflow

Compare tubes per run, expected batches and turnaround needs. A higher headline speed does not resolve a capacity mismatch.

04

Temperature requirement

Say whether the method requires a refrigerated model and identify the required operating conditions. Temperature performance is model- and rotor-specific.

05

Site and documentation

Include available bench space, electrical supply, noise or placement constraints, and required certificates or manuals.

Centrifuge quote checklist

  • Application or reference method
  • Required RCF and run time
  • Tube type, size and quantity per run
  • Preferred rotor and adapters, if known
  • Refrigeration or temperature requirement
  • Electrical supply, quantity and delivery date

Common centrifuge questions

Should a TOR specify RPM or RCF?

Use the quantity required by the method. RCF describes the force on the sample and depends on both rotational speed and rotor radius, so an RPM value alone may not describe an equivalent separation across different rotors.

Can any tube be used with the selected rotor?

No assumption should be made. Tube dimensions, material, rated force, adapters and rotor compatibility must all be checked in the current instructions for the exact combination.

When should we request a refrigerated centrifuge?

When the method or sample-handling procedure sets a temperature requirement during centrifugation. State that requirement in the quote request rather than selecting refrigeration from the product title alone.

Official model references

Examples in the live catalog are checked against DLAB’s official product pages. Specifications and compatible rotors must be reconfirmed for the quoted configuration.

Rotor, adapter and tube compatibility is configuration-specific. Do not order from a maximum-speed comparison alone; verify the current manufacturer documentation for the complete setup.
